Terms of Service

Last updated September 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Sheriffguard, including the plugin, cloud services, website, and official support channels. By installing, accessing, or purchasing Sheriffguard, you agree to these Terms.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company, network, or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

1. Licence

Sheriffguard grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software on the number of servers and within the limits covered by your active plan.

The software is licensed, not sold. Sheriffguard and its licensors retain all rights, ownership, and intellectual property in the software and related services.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Resell, share, sublicense, transfer, or redistribute the software or licence.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the software’s detection logic.
  • Tamper with or bypass licensing, authentication, security, or integrity systems.
  • Use Sheriffguard to develop a competing Anti-Cheat product or to evade its detection systems.
  • Use the software beyond the server, player, or other limits of your plan.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and licence access secure and must not share them with unauthorized parties.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account or licence and must notify us promptly if you believe they have been compromised.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Subscriptions are billed according to the billing period and plan selected at purchase and may automatically renew unless cancelled.

Prices and applicable terms will be displayed before purchase. Any price changes will apply only to future billing periods.

You may cancel your subscription, where cancellation is available, and retain access until the end of the paid billing period. Unless required otherwise by applicable law, payments already made are non-refundable.

If payment is unsuccessful or remains outstanding, we may suspend access until the payment issue is resolved.

5. Server Enforcement

Sheriffguard provides detections and automated actions based on your configuration. You remain responsible for decisions made on your server, including warnings, kicks, bans, or other actions resulting from your configuration.

We do not operate or moderate your server or community and are not responsible for enforcement decisions made by you or automated actions configured by you.

6. Support and Service Availability

We aim to maintain reliable service and provide support within a reasonable time. However, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, we do not guarantee a specific uptime, availability level, or support response time.

We may update, improve, add, modify, or remove features as Sheriffguard develops. Where reasonably possible, significant changes affecting the service will be communicated in advance.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence or access if you materially violate these Terms, abuse the service, attempt to bypass its protections, or where required by law.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanent termination.

When your licence or access ends, you must stop using and remove Sheriffguard from all servers and systems where it is installed.

8. Disclaimer

Sheriffguard is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that Sheriffguard will detect every cheat or exploit, prevent every unauthorized activity, avoid false positives, or operate without interruption or errors.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sheriffguard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses, including lost profits, revenue, data, players, or goodwill.

Our total liability arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Sheriffguard during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

You agree to be responsible for claims arising from your misuse of the service or enforcement actions taken on your server.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated Last updated date.

If a change materially affects your use of the service, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where appropriate. Continued use of Sheriffguard after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
